"DEVOTION" Nataraj Dancers Performance

"Devotion" is an Odissi style classical Indian dance choreographed by Artistic Director Ranjanaa Devi. Ms. Devi runs the Asian Arts Department at UMass, where she brings acclaimed performers from across the globe to western Massachusetts.
If you've ever wondered what the beautiful hand and eye gestures of Indian dance mean - here's your chance to learn. The dancers will offer a mini-workshop on mudras as part of their performance (participation is optional). Mudras are the elegant gestures dancers use to tell the stories of India.
